2012 Jamis Launch

This past weekend we were invited to attend the Jamis 2012 Dealer Product Launch.  We were granted up close access to all of the new offerings from Jamis on the 650b wheel front.

For 2012 Jamis is further committing to the 650b tire size by introducing two new hard tail models in addition to the B1 and B2 models.

The first bike is the addition of the Dragon 650.  Following the on the popularity of the Dragon 29er models from previous years Jamis has designed a full steel Dragon designed specifically for the 650b wheel size.   Constructed of Reynolds 853 tubing the bike features a Shimano SLX Dynasis 3X10 drive train, American Classics 650b wheels, a white brothers 120mm Loop fork, and a full Synchros cockpit the bike is intended to be a all day trail machine.  Coming in at just 26.50 lbs for a 17″, the bike should be popular for those looking for the ride of a good steel frame.

In addition to the Dragon, Jamis is also introducing a brand new aluminum 650b intended for cross country racing.  The all new Nemesis comes in at just $1600 featuring a Kinesis 7005 triple butted construction.  The frame utilize brand new forming techniques which allows them to reduce tubing thickness requirements ~30% while maintaining stiffness and rigidity levels.  The bike includes an tapered steerer 100mm travel X-Fusion Velvet fork.  It comes setup stock with a Sram X.7 2X10 drivetrain and utilize Ritchey components for the stem, handlebar, and seatpost.

Jamis has made a commitment to the 650b wheel size and their dedication shows.  Here at we should hopefully have a couple for testing shortly and we will be sure to write full reviews after some time with the bikes.

Subaru Cup

We made it out to the Subaru Cup last weekend. It was a beautiful day to be out there watching the race and showcasing some of our 650B bikes.  It was great to see so many people out in the sun watching the race. Check out some of the bikes we were showcasing at the Subaru Cup here.
